Drilling Project Services supplies the SUPER MAXBIT which is an Overburden Drilling System, patented by the MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION. 

The SUPER MAXBIT provides a stable and balanced drilling system for a variety of collapsing overburden formations.  The SUPER MAXBIT consists of two or three bit wings connected to a down-the-hole hammer.  These bit wings are extendable/retractable when the drill string rotates in the forward/reverse direction.  The drilling and casing operation are carried out simultaneously with the use of a casing shoe.

The SUPER MAXBIT system is available in bit gauge sizes from 125mm to 842mm.  This is the bit gauge with the bit wings in the extended position.
